Ad Group

An ad group is a collection of ads, keywords, and targeting settings organized around a specific theme or product/service within an ad campaign. Each ad group shares the same targeting and budget rules from its parent ad campaign. An Ad Group organizes related ads and targeting settings within an Ad campaign.

Key components of an ad group:
  • Keywords or Audience Targeting:Define who sees the ads, define the audience..
  • Ads:Headlines, descriptions, URLs, and CTAs, and ad-relevant information as per the ad campaign.
  • Landing Page:Where users land when they click on the ads.
  • Bids:Manual or automated bid strategies for an ad campaign.
  • Negative Keywords (optional):Prevent ads from showing for irrelevant searches. You can add negative keywords to target an ad campaign.
