List Growth Rate refers to a metric that measures the rate at which a contact list (e.g., email subscribers, leads) grows over a specific period. The list growth rate is calculated by comparing the number of new contacts added to the list against unsubscribes or opt-outs.
Formula For List Growth Rate
Subtracting new subscribers from unsubscribe and then dividing by the total number of subscribers the t start. Multiply by 100
List Growth Rate (%) = (New Subscribers−Unsubscribes)(Divided By)(Total Subscribers at Start) ×100
Parameters
New Subscribers = The number of new people who joined your list in a specific period.
Unsubscribes = People who left your list in that same period.
Total Subscribers at Start = The number of subscribers at the beginning of the period.
A high list growth rate indicates lead generation and audience engagement strategies.
