01Overview
Growzify AI Citation Tracker is a free Chrome extension, built by Growzify Digital, that shows marketers which domains get cited in Google AI Overviews and Perplexity.ai answers as they browse. This policy explains exactly what the extension reads, what it stores, and what it never does — in plain terms, matching the code you can inspect in the extension’s own source.
02Information we collect
When you view a Google search results page or a Perplexity.ai answer, the extension’s content script reads the citation links already visible on that page and records:
- The cited domain and full URL
- The platform (Google AI Overview or Perplexity)
- Your search query or question text
- The citation’s position in the list, and a timestamp
It also stores the list of domains you choose to add under “My Domains”, so it can flag when one of them is cited. Nothing here is collected unless you are actively on one of those two sites.
03Information we do not collect
The extension does not collect your name, email, IP address, location, passwords, payment details, or any browsing history outsidegoogle.com/searchandperplexity.ai. It does not log keystrokes, clicks, or mouse movement, and it does not require an account.
04Where your data lives
Everything is written tochrome.storage.local— a storage area private to your own browser profile, on your own device. Nothing is transmitted to Growzify or to any third-party server. The citation log is capped at the most recent 3,000 entries; older entries are trimmed automatically.

06Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or transfer your data to any third party. The extension contains no analytics library, no advertising SDK, and no remote tracking of any kind — every line of code that runs ships inside the extension package itself.
07Your controls
Open the extension popup at any time to export your citation log as a CSV (saved directly to your device, never uploaded anywhere) or to clear all logged data with one click. Uninstalling the extension deletes everything it stored.
08Children’s privacy
This extension is a professional tool for marketers and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age.
09Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a revised effective date above.
